Tim: Should I see a movie this weekend? Aahh!
Tim: This is as good as a movie can get and it's so great that they're still making these kinds of movies.
Tim: It's On Cinema at the Cinema with me, your host, Tim Heidecker.
Tim: Hi everybody, my name is Tim Heidecker. Welcome to the season finale of On Cinema at the Cinema. It's a web series where we talk about movies coming out. And I just wanna say it's been a real pleasure coming into your computer screens every morning, or not every morning, but every afternoo- or once a week. I appreciate all the support that you've given me through this past several weeks. It's been really a roller coaster and I'm just blessed to have the audience that we have. And thanks for watching.
Tim: Oh, I'm sorry. I wanna welcome my guest, Gregg Turkington.
Gregg: Hey guys, hey Tim. How you doing today?
Tim: Good. And thanks for being on the show-
Gregg: Oh yeah.
Tim: And thanks for being support this whole season. It's been a really-
Gregg: Wouldn't miss it for the world. Season finale!
Tim: *chuckles* And we got a great show today. We're gonna talk about a movie, we've got a great guest, Joe Estevez coming up, who's gonna talk about his new book. I wanna start with today's movie, Muppets Most Wanted, the Muppets are Back. And we got directed by James Bobbin, Tom Hiddleston, obviously the Muppets, Kermit, Piggy and the rest, but also humans being Salma Hayek, Christopher Waltz and Ricky Gervais. And this is as good as Muppets can get. I'm giving it five bags of popcorn and five bags of soda.
Gregg: Cups of soda, yeah. It's like Sesame Street, but a little bit more adult. But still perfect for kids. So I'm gonna give it five bags of popcorn and five newly bundled newborn babies.
Tim: Well, so that's the big movie this week. Muppets Most Wanted, we both recommend you go check it out. I wanna introduce our guest, good friend of mine, great friend of the show, Mr. Joe Estevez. So let's bring him out here to talk about his new book. Joe.
Joe: Heh, heh, heh, good to see you again.
Gregg: Good to see you, Joe.
Joe: Hey, Mr. Director!
Tim: Oh, thanks that's right.
Joe: Heh, heh, heh, good to see you again. Yeah.
Tim: Yeah you guys know, Joe and I did a movie together that I directed and wrote. You know, we're not done shooting by any stretch, but we have a lot of work left to do. And um- but that's not why we're here. We're here to talk about your new book, Wi- Joe Estevez: Wiping Off The "Sheen". And this is a new book by Joe Estevez- or uh, yes, by- well, written by somebody else. What is this?
Joe: Yeah...
Tim: Written by Brad Paulson and Chris Watson.
Joe: Yeah, it's just a long conversation, just my experiences and some of the people that I've had experiences with. And of course I touch on my brother and my nephews a little bit, but Joe, you know, it's mostly "moi".
Tim: Gotcha. Just some quotes about you: "Joe is one of the most talented, creative and best friends I have." -Actor Robert... Z'Dar.
Joe: Z'Dar. Maniac Cop, you know, Tango & Cash?
Tim: Mhm. Yes. Sure.
Gregg: Yeah, that's a cool book. I gotta get one of those.
Joe: Well thank you Gregg.
Tim: Well, this has been great. I look- I read about- I didn't get through the whole thing, but it's, it's looks like a fun book that you might want to have in your bathroom or something or-
Joe: There's a nice little sort of short story in the back. Just in case the book bores you, the short story maybe will save it y'know?
Tim: In the back? Special thanks... interview-
Joe: That's uh, uh-
Tim: Baby Ghost.
Joe: No, let me see here a second I... Maybe they didn't put it in this issue... uh... oh special thanks, here we go... uh, well okay. Forget it. *chuckles*
Tim: Oh well. Alright well, Joe, anything else you wanna plug while you're here?
Joe: Oh hah hah, just this guy's movies. It's terrific! Good I was-
Tim: Right, yeah. Decker coming out soon. Yeah...
Joe: Pleasantly surprised.
Gregg: We'll see if he finishes it.
Joe: Ehh it's... looks good. Looks good.
Tim: All right, Joe, well, thank you so much for being on the show.
Joe: Thank you. Gregg, thank you, sir.
Gregg: Thank you. It's good to see you Joe.
Tim: Alright, good to see you. Alright.
Joe: Am I outta here now? Thank you.
Tim: Yes, this is my copy we get to keep.
Gregg: Have a good week.
Joe: Thank you.
Tim: Alright, and uh... it's a fun, loose show. Why don't we cut to a- why don't we do Popcorn Classics?
Gregg: Sure.
*Popcorn Classics music*
Gregg: Popcorn Classic today stars a great Diane Keaton.
Tim: Ah, Annie Hall.
Gregg: Baby Boom.
Tim: Oh, Baby Boom, okay.
Gregg: Which is "An unexpected comedy" they call it. That's sort of the subtitle and she's, you know, inherited a baby and it's a lot of fun.
Tim: Diane Keaton, I love Diane Keaton.
Gregg: Yeah.
Tim: I love her in all the Woody Allen movies and I should've talked to Joe about that 'cause we talked to him about Woody Allen last season. Should've brought that up. Anyways-
Gregg: I have a new segment that I'm kind of excited about.
Tim: Well I was gonna close out and thank everybody for watching, but... we got a new segment? That you wanna try?
Gregg: New segment.
Tim: Okay, we have time for that.
Gregg: Popcorn Classics is sort of my segment, but this could be my new hit segment, it's called Tim's Mailbag. A lot of people have questions that they ask Tim, being the host. And I thought it was a good chance for you to answer some of your fan mail and answer some of the questions that have come in the door.
Tim: Do we have time for that? We have time for...?
Gregg: Yeah, here's the first one here from Tammy Smith, Kenner Louisiana.
Tim: Kenner, Tammy Smith, okay, just got a letter, a question for me, huh?
Gregg: Mm-hmm.
Tim: Tim- "Hi Tim, what's your favorite movie?" That's a good question. Um... boy... uh, so many, I'm thinking either Godfather or J-
Gregg: Okay, we've got another letter here. From the-
Tim: Well, I haven't deci- um, I was gonna say, probably Jack... Jack Reacher.
Gregg: Jack Reacher's great, so one of my favorites.
Tim: There's so many great movies, but thank you for this letter.
Gregg: Yeah, thanks Tammy. Here's the next letter...
Tim: Alright. I love this segment by the way, thank you Tammy. Interesting question.
Gregg: Um, yeah here's one I think you'll like, it's from Japan. Take a look at this.
Tim: Japan, really? Well I guess they have internet everywhere, so... What is this, this is cool....
Tim: Okay... Um... From Ayaka.
Gregg: Why don't you read it out loud for other viewers?
Tim: *sighs* Okay. "Dear Tim, how are you? Long time no see, I have great news today: I'm pregnant. I'm really happy right now, and I hope the same for you. Can you believe it? You're going to be a father."
Gregg: *laughing*
*theme music*
Tim: *sniffles* Shit...
